1. Agreement and scope

These Terms of Use apply to 2FA - Protect Your Data (the “App”), its authenticator and Secret Album features, and the related website at 2fa-protect.com. “We,” “us,” and “our” refer to the developer of the App, reachable at support@2fa-protect.com. Please read these terms and the Privacy Policy before using the App or making a purchase.

Use the App only if you can lawfully agree to these terms or have any authorization required from a parent or guardian. Mandatory consumer rights remain in force. If you do not agree, discontinue use and review any active subscriptions separately, because removing the App does not cancel Apple billing.

2. Apple license and relationship

For an App Store download, the Apple Standard End User License Agreement governs the license to the App unless a valid custom license is provided through the App Store. These terms supplement that license with information about our features, support, and subscriptions. They do not replace Apple’s store rules or reduce rights that cannot lawfully be limited.

The App is provided by its developer, not sponsored or endorsed by Apple. Apple is not responsible for our support or maintenance obligations. References to third-party account providers identify compatible use cases only; those providers do not thereby endorse or operate this App.

3. Permitted use

You may use the App on compatible devices you own or control, in accordance with the applicable license, Apple’s usage rules, and local law. You are responsible for making sure that you are authorized to manage the accounts and media you add. Availability and performance may depend on your device, operating-system version, and settings.

Do not use the App to access accounts without permission, distribute unlawful content, interfere with another person’s privacy, circumvent lawful access restrictions, or disrupt software and services. Restrictions on copying or reverse engineering apply only to the extent allowed by law and by any applicable open-source license.

4. Authenticator setup and supported accounts

The authenticator is intended to generate verification codes for accounts that support a compatible two-factor method. You must enable that method with each relevant account provider, add the correct setup information, and complete any required confirmation. The App cannot independently turn on security settings for an external account.

Codes may fail when setup information is incorrect, the account uses an unsupported method, the provider changes its requirements, or the device time is inaccurate. Check the provider’s instructions and your device settings if a code is rejected. We do not control third-party sign-in systems or guarantee that every service will accept the App.

5. Account recovery and responsibility

Keep the recovery codes or alternative access methods provided by each account service in a separate, safe location. Confirm that you can recover an account before changing devices, deleting an authenticator entry, or uninstalling the App. We cannot reset third-party passwords, retrieve a setup key we do not hold, or override a service’s two-factor requirements.

Two-factor authentication is one part of account security and does not guarantee prevention of phishing, device compromise, or unauthorized access. Protect your device and Apple Account, use strong passwords, and never share authentication material with someone who requests it unexpectedly, including anyone claiming to provide support.

6. Secret Album and your media

The Secret Album is a separate place in the App for selected photos and videos. You retain your rights in the media you add and are responsible for having permission to store it. We do not acquire ownership of your media merely because you use this feature. Do not import content whose possession or use would violate the rights of others or applicable law.

Adding media to the Secret Album does not mean the original has been deleted from Photos, Recently Deleted, shared albums, or cloud services. Review those locations separately. Keep suitable independent copies of important media. The App is not a guaranteed archival or recovery service, and local media may be lost if device data is erased or the App is removed.

7. Permissions and device requirements

Certain actions require iOS permissions, such as camera access for QR scanning and photo access for importing media. You control those permissions in Settings. If access is denied or restricted, the corresponding feature may be unavailable or limited. Permissions do not give the developer permission to use your information for unrelated purposes.

You are responsible for maintaining a compatible device and any connectivity needed for App Store purchases, restoring entitlements, or contacting support. Local code generation and external account sign-in have different requirements; the account provider may require an internet connection even when an authenticator code can be generated locally.

8. Paid features and purchase disclosures

The App offers in-app purchases and may offer auto-renewable subscriptions for paid features. The purchase screen identifies the product, included benefits, price, billing period, and any trial or introductory offer before you confirm. Prices, currencies, taxes, and product availability may differ by storefront. Only the offer actually displayed to you applies.

Review the purchase screen and Apple confirmation carefully. We do not state a fixed subscription price or duration on this website because the current offer is shown in the App Store purchase flow. Payment is charged to your Apple Account through Apple under its applicable terms. We do not collect your card details directly.

9. Automatic renewal and cancellation

An auto-renewable subscription continues for successive billing periods unless you cancel renewal through Apple. Apple handles renewal charges according to the offer and the rules applicable to your storefront; the standard renewal process may charge your account within 24 hours before the current period ends. Cancel before the applicable renewal deadline to avoid another charge.

Manage your subscription on iPhone through Settings, your Apple Account, and Subscriptions, then select this App and the available cancellation option. Deleting the App, deleting local data, or emailing support does not cancel a subscription. Cancellation normally stops future renewal while access continues until the paid period ends, subject to Apple’s rules and any refund or trial conditions.

10. Trials, introductory offers, and price changes

A trial or introductory offer is available only when explicitly displayed and only if Apple determines you are eligible. Unless the offer says otherwise, a trial converts to a paid subscription at its end if you do not cancel. If you do not want a trial to renew, Apple advises canceling at least 24 hours before the trial ends. Trial access may end when you cancel, depending on the offer and Apple’s rules.

Any offer limitations are shown in the purchase flow. Subscription price changes are handled under Apple’s applicable notice and consent requirements. Read communications from Apple about your subscription. No promotional statement on this website overrides the price, period, or conditions confirmed in the actual purchase flow.

11. Restoring purchases and access changes

For an eligible existing purchase, use the App’s Restore Purchases option where available and sign in with the Apple Account used for that purchase. Restoration depends on the product type, purchase status, and Apple’s rules. If access is missing, check that the subscription is active before contacting support with a description of the issue.

A canceled subscription may remain active until its expiration date. A refunded, revoked, or expired purchase may stop providing paid access. Local media and account recovery remain your responsibility; restoring an App Store entitlement is not the same as restoring authenticator secrets or Secret Album files. Contact support before making destructive changes if you are uncertain about access.

12. Refunds and Apple decisions

Apple handles requests for refunds of App Store purchases under its policies and the laws applicable to your location. You can begin a request at reportaproblem.apple.com. Eligibility and timing vary, and we cannot promise that Apple will approve a particular request. Nothing in these terms excludes a refund or other remedy required by mandatory consumer law.

A refund request and cancellation are separate actions. If you want to prevent future renewal, also check the subscription’s status in your Apple Account. Support can help explain how to find purchase information, but cannot access your Apple payment credentials or cancel a subscription on your behalf.

13. Purchase consumption information for refunds

When an end user requests a refund for an in-app purchase, we may submit limited information about use of that purchase to Apple to assist its review, where this procedure is implemented and applicable. The information may include time spent using the App, an anonymous account identifier, the total value of purchases, and the total value of previous refunds, to the extent those details are available and relevant.

Any submission is subject to applicable privacy law and Apple’s current requirements, including obtaining user consent where required. Agreeing to these terms does not replace any separately required consent. This process does not include sharing authenticator setup keys, generated codes, passwords, recovery codes, or Secret Album media. Apple remains responsible for deciding the refund request. Further information about this limited disclosure appears in our Privacy Policy.

14. Privacy and communications

Our Privacy Policy explains device processing, support messages, purchases, and the limited Apple refund-information exception. We do not sell your personal content or disclose authenticator secrets or Secret Album contents to advertising partners. Information you send voluntarily to support is used to handle your request and related necessary correspondence.

For assistance, email support@2fa-protect.com with a concise description and relevant app or iOS version. Do not include verification codes, setup keys, passwords, recovery codes, or personal media. Support availability and response time may vary; we do not promise around-the-clock assistance or a fixed response deadline.

15. Updates, availability, and external services

We may release updates to improve compatibility, maintain security, address defects, or change the user experience. Some updates may require a newer version of iOS. Feature availability can differ between App versions and purchase options. Where a material change affects a paid service, we will respect applicable notice obligations and consumer remedies.

External account providers, Apple services, email services, and linked websites operate independently. We do not control their availability, policies, or decisions. An external link is provided for convenience and does not make its operator our agent. Use those services under their own terms and review their privacy information.

16. Intellectual property

The App’s software, branding, website design, and original explanatory material belong to the developer or the relevant licensors, subject to applicable law. Use of the App does not transfer those rights to you beyond the applicable license. Third-party trademarks and service names remain the property of their respective owners.

You retain ownership of your own media and account information. These terms do not grant us a right to publish your private content. Do not copy or redistribute the App or its protected material in a way that infringes intellectual-property rights; lawful exceptions and applicable license permissions remain available.

17. Warranties and limitations

We aim to provide a useful and reliable App, but cannot promise uninterrupted operation, compatibility with every account service, recovery of deleted local data, or protection against every security incident. To the extent permitted by law, the App and website are provided as available without additional guarantees beyond those expressly given or legally required.

Any limitation of liability applies only to the extent allowed by the governing law and the applicable license. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including applicable liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, or other protected claims. Your statutory rights to conformity, remedies, and consumer protection remain unaffected. The Apple Standard EULA contains additional applicable license provisions.

18. Ending use and surviving obligations

You may stop using the App at any time. Before uninstalling it, secure recovery methods for your accounts and preserve any media you want to keep. Remove local information only after confirming what will be lost. If you have an active subscription, cancel it separately through Apple if you do not want it to renew.

Rights to use the App may end as provided by the applicable license or following a material breach of these terms, subject to any required notice and opportunity to remedy. Ending use does not eliminate outstanding payment obligations lawfully incurred, and does not remove rights or obligations intended to continue, including intellectual-property and privacy protections.

19. Changes, applicable rights, and disputes

We may revise these terms when the App, purchase options, or applicable requirements change. The revision date appears at the top. Material changes will receive any notice required by law. Updated terms do not remove rights you already have in relation to a completed purchase or authorize charges you have not agreed to.

Contact us first so we can try to resolve a concern. The governing-law provisions of the applicable license remain relevant, but do not deprive consumers of mandatory protections or access to courts available under local law. We do not add a mandatory arbitration requirement or waive your non-waivable consumer rights. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to the extent lawful.
